Light, color and fashion in functional design
sustainable textile fashion design inspired by James Turells´ artistic color perseption and Mischa Kuballs´ light installations.
My bachelorthesis collection SIMULTANE.Synergie was inspired by contemporary artists and their light installations.
The development is based on rethinked, sustainable and long lasting fashion design on behlaf of zero waste.
The use of color emphasizes the effect on the viewer, as does the use of light as an artistic medium. For the collection, alternative and sustainable materials such as hemp and rami were selected and processed using color and printing techniques.

In zero: deformed Sculptile Texture
Textile architecture made from innovative membrane constructions appear with increasing frequency in our daily environment. The visual aesthetic and architectal very advanced buildings are preceived rather than artistical conceived sculptures.
Inspired by the constructive textile installations from the architect Gisela Stromeyer, my work „In zero: desformed Sculptile Texture“ transfers the topic of stretched and moved forms in combination with geometrical elements from textile architecture into my designs. With constant growing consciousness for ecology and in relation to the extensive elements in Stromeyers works, the resulted outfits are 100% zero waste fashion, taking account into textile waste in clothing industry and putting a sign to counteracting it. Due to the innovative sublimation printing process in Epson Solution Center Germany – Meerbusch and the provided textiles by Premier Textiles Ltd., the designs have been realised sustainable.
